The Padanama Publication , an institute initiated in a small scale when registered in 2007, has stepped forward victoriously at present amidst of all its difficulties, barriers and hindrances. Lighting the minds of millions of Sri Lankan students with knowledge irrespective of their ethnicity and community, it has successfully established as a leading Publication Institute with a Sri Lankan identity.
From its inception, the Executive Director of this institute is Mr. Arunashantha Amarasinghe.
He, who had his primary education in Kalapaluwawa Maha Vidyalaya & Gothatuwa Maha Vidyalaya completed his higher studies in Commerce Steam with flying colours, at Lumbini Vidyalaya - Colombo, is a Commerce Graduate of the University of Sri Jayawardanapura, Sri Lanka.
While at University, being a tutor individually for G.C.E.(O/L) students in Business Studies & G.C.E.(A/L) students in Accounting for many years he has encountered with the educational problems of students such as their difficulties to learning and memorizing.
He is a keen observant with a great deal of experience regarding the problems of students and after a careful analysis of them with the knowledge of Educational Psychology in relation to the methods and his findings to avoid such weaknesses and help students learn, increase their power of retention and score better marks at examinations.
Moreover, being a teacher of Accounting for many years at Gothami Balika Vidaylaya in Colombo, he has a vast experience regarding the problems of both teachers and students and introduced successful methods to sort them out.
Once the subject Entrepreneurial Studies was introduced to the A/L stream by the government instead of Business Studies in 2007, both teachers and students who selected that subject had to face a lot of difficulties. At such a decisive moment, Mr. Arunashantha was the only dignified master who could introduce a book on Entrepreneurial Studies to console their hearts.
The institute he set up at a small scale at its beginning, has successfully sprang up quenching the thirst of Sri Lankan students island wide for knowledge due to his marvelous experience in relation to the methods of learning teaching process, professional competency, excellent dedication and indomitable courage.
The prevailing system of highly competitive examination has led to dissatisfaction since the results obtained by the students are not worthwhile for the efforts and hard work of the students , teachers, and the sacrifice of the parents. It merely confirms the notion of " Education is a burden without a success"
In fact, students should learn with fun.For that a variety of interesting methods should be introduced and manipulated. Henceforth, there can be successful achievements of their education with the knowledge gained without fatigue.
Our institute will present Educational materials to apt to these requirements in the future as we do at present.
